Events
The Summer Law Institute each year organizes and hosts several events through which the participants have the opportunity to meet professional experts coming from private companies, law firms, international and non-governmental organizations in China.
During these meetings experts usually give lectures on topics related to their job experience, but also strictly connected to the topics covered during the Summer Law Institute courses.
2017
Summer Law institute 2017 has started on Saturday, the 8th of July 2017. On Monday, the 10th of July, at 3:30 PM, we had a honor to host an Inaugural Lecture of prof. Cong Lixian, Dean of the Law School, Beijing Foreign Studies University, on "Copyright Law in China". Dean Cong is Professor of Copyright Law, Intellectual Property Law and Private International Law; Director of China International Private Law Society, Liaoning Copyright Protection Association and Shenyang Protection Association.

Again on July 16, 2013 the Summer Law Institute hosted some participants from 2012 edition for a speech on their Professional Development in China after the Summer School.
On July 17, 2013 the Summer Law Institute invited Ms Morena Skalamera from Harvard University, for a lecture on Energy Geopolitics. Interregional and Global Challenges of Energy Security, Energy Governance and Global Policy.
Again on July 17, 2013 the Summer Law Institute hosted an event organized by gLAWcal - Global Law Initiatives for Sustainable Development with Mr LI Rusong, China Programme Director of CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project), who gave a lecture on Measuring Sustainability. CDP as a Case Study.
On July 19, 2013 the Summer Law Institute hosted an event organized by gLAWcal - Global Law Initiatives for Sustainable Development with Mr Patrick Schroeder, International Advisor for China Association for NGO Cooperation (CANGO) and for China Civil Climate Action Network (CCAN), who gave a lecture on Climate protection in China - the contribution of Chinese civil society organisations.
