It was an honor to have the opportunity to take part in the Summer Law Institute in China-Intellectual Property Rights and China (IP-China). I want to thank Prof. Paolo Farah for his support and for coordinating this Programme.
As an old Chinese saying goes, a single conversation across the table with a wise man is worth a month’s study of books. In the Summer Law Institute, the well-known experts and professors from Europe and China had delivered wonderful lectures, in which I learned IP theoretical frontiers that are truly valuable.
In particular, Prof. Farah invited the IP frontrunners, who were government officials from both Europe and China, famous lawyers having wonderful cases in IP protection, entrepreneurs who sought better IP protection in China, to participate roundtable conferences and small seminars, in which we discussed IP protection cooperation between EU and China, how to protect company’s IPR, and what lawyers would do to help the clients.
In the Summer Law Institute, I had met a lot of wonderful people who were from Europe, Africa and China. We got alone with each other. We talked about culture, society and economy with each other. We even have had a dinner with another Summer School team from America. We made friends, who may expand your horizon. For the non-Chinese students, I thought the delicious Chinese cuisine and sightseeing that would be your favorite in your journey.
My final suggestion is that no matter who you are and wherever you from, if having the chance to apply this Summer Law Institute. Do not hesitate. It will be a great experience.

首先要感谢Paolo Farah组织和安排了2011年主题为“知识产权中国”的暑期学校，为我们提供了聆听来着欧洲和中国知名学府的专家、教授们讲授知识产权实务和前沿理论问题，尤为可贵的是暑期学校还邀请了知识产权实践的第一线人员，他们包括欧盟官员、中国政府官员、律师、企业等知名人士，让我们能够在学习理论的同时接触知识产权实务，为我们提供了彼此交流的平台。让暑期课程更具价值。
“听君一席话，胜读十年书”，是我听完多位教授的报告后，油然而生的一个念头。我为他们渊博的知识所折服，为他们的平易近人、完美的人格所叹服。此外，一些教授所研究的课题引起我很大的兴趣，佩服他们有与众不同的想法，更佩服他们都把自己的想法付诸于实践，听完他们的报告，除了为他们所取得的成功高兴以外，更清楚的看到了自己知识的匮乏，视野的狭窄。
在暑期学校里，认识了很多来自欧洲、非洲的新朋友，还锻炼了我与人交流、沟通的能力。研究生暑期学校，虽然时间短暂，但是，它给予我的却是一笔难得的财富，教授们的报告，不仅扩大了我的视野，他们的思想也为我以后的学习和研究起了指导作用。
